I began my career working with seniors 20 years ago through providing music therapy for the Alzheimer’s population.
Combining my 30+ years professional music career with my love and passion for seniors led me to a role as Activities Director with various companies, including Palm Villas.
With a desire to learn more about the Senior Living world, I returned to Palm Villas in a new role as Assistant Administrator in 2016.
I’ve worked in the Memory Care/Senior Living industry for 20+ years, covering nearly all aspects of an assisted living community.
I began as a cook, worked in skilled nursing, scheduling, drove residents to appointments; and eventually became a supervisor.
I love this job because it allows me to exercise my problem-solving skills and I’m driven to help residents have a high quality of life.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my grandma, which may be why I fell in love with working with seniors.
I’ve worked in the senior living industry for more than 15 years, joining Palm Villas in 2011.
I love spending time with the residents, chatting with them, doing their fingernails, even giving them a hand massage.
It’s not a chore. It’s a joy.
I’ve enjoyed workinig in this industry for 25+ years. In 2011, I joined Palm Villas.
It brings me so much joy when family members visit and see that their loved ones are being cared for.
I love to work with seniors.
I first became acquainted with Palm Villas as a customer, looking for a place for my mom. She lived here for 18 months, during which I was offered a job as an Assistant Activities Director in 2013.
This has been far more fulfilling than the “high stress of quarterly revenue goals” of my past jobs in retail.
All these residents need is real love and a warm human touch.
I pride myself on preparing delicious, nutritious, freshly prepared meals for our precious residents on a daily basis.
I’ve been a professional cook for senior living communities for 15+ years, because I genuinely love and care for this community.
This has been a wonderful place to work because the residents and their family members are so warm and appreciative of everything we do for them.
I started at Palm Villas more than 10 years, initially as the HR director, and now as the Office Manager. I can’t believe how fast time goes by.
Time flies by probably because I love the environment here and the camaraderie of the team.
Being the office manager allows me to do many of the things I love: multi-task, organize events, plan holiday decorations, to name a few. In essence, be a team-player.
